Because Madonna needs more $

I must admit, I kind of hoped this day would never come. But alas, Madonna and daughter Lourdes fashion line for junior girls, Material Girl, will be launching at Macys on August 30th. Images of the actual line have not surfaced yet, be they have released the sketches shown below. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that these sketches are boring knock offs of everything being sold at Forever 21 at the moment- it is, after all, designed by an old, boring pop star and her 13 year old daughter. What really annoys me is this sudden insurgence of "fashion designers." Just because you have money folks, does not a fashion designer make. Skinny jeans, plaid, and a leather jacket? I'll be damned! Who would have thought! (*Wha Wha Whhhaaaaa*) Stick to what you're good at people! Madonna, keep being a really great lip synching performer with questionable moral fiber and your daughter should just continue to spend your money.

I'm bored with this already.

She really should have kept her day job...

Gag me with a pair of over sized sunglasses; celebrity fashion stylist and reality tv "star" Rachel Zoe has announced that she is teaming with LF USA to launch The Rachel Zoe Collection. In Zoe's own words to WWD, "I'll definitely do faux furs and incredible leather jackets and great trousers." Like, that's totally awesome Rachel!

While Zoe herself isn't always a fashion disaster, I ask you to keep in mind that this is the woman who made her name by dressing celebrity clients such as Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and Nicky Hilton. Do you recall ever thinking, "Gee, I'd like to look like one of them?" Not I folks, not I.

Gucci to take a bite out of Cadbury?

Seems that the owner's of Alexander McQueen's label are debating legal action against Cadbury. Yes, Cadbury the well known global chocolate and sweet treat company. No, this isn't a case were they can't slip into their Gucci leggings anymore ala McDonalds vs the fat New Yorker, rather, Gucci is upset about the new Cadbury Flake campaign. The campaign features a woman floating in a billowing gown against a black background as a way to demonstrate the candy's "delicate, wispy layers." Gucci is irked because they believe the imagery hits a little too close to home and looks an awful lot like McQueen's 2006 catwalk background of a Kate Moss hologram floating in an equally billowy dress. The kicker? Both videos were directed by Baillie Walsh. Perhaps he's amidst a creative block and decided to revisit an old idea... You be the judge. See McQueen's video here and Cadbury's here.

To Die For... Erin Fetherston Resort 2011

American designer Erin Fetherston has produced a 2011 Resort line that truely makes me "whooo" & "ahhhh". Fetherston, who also guest designs for Juicy Couture thankfully put down the sequins for her resort line which she explains was inspired by the French movie L'Amant. (The Lover)

Bravo Erin Fetherston, this collection is simply to die for.
