Terry Put Your Pants On.

What I’m not surprised about- Terry Richardson being a pervert. What I am surprised about- someone finally having the guts to say it out loud.

During a party at Le Montana in St. Germain, model Rie Rasmussen confronted famed photographer Terry Richardson by accusing him of abusing his power and putting young girls in compromising positions. Anyone who has seen Richardson’s photography would understand. If nudity is not involved, strong sexual content almost always is.

Rasmussen told the New York Post,

"He takes girls who are young, manipulates them to take their clothes off and takes pictures of them they will be ashamed of. They are too afraid to say no because their agency booked them on the job and are too young to stand up for themselves.”

One might say that this could be a matter of opinion, and they’re right. Can Rasmussen prove that Richardson makes models feel this way? Nope. But surprise surprise, days later, Jamie Peck, writer for The Gloss , decided to share her Terry Richardson experience, and it wasn’t a good one.

Peck explains that being asked to pose nude wasn’t the problem. In fact, she had done it many times before. The problem for her was that Richardson was the only photographer who had ever given her the creeps while doing so.

Red flag #1- Richardson asks Peck to call him “Uncle Terry.” Ewww. Anyway, a bit star struck perhaps, she obliges.

Red flag # 2- Richardson takes his pants off to reveal his shockingly (shocking to me, because looking at the guy, who’d have thunk it?) large penis. Eww eww eww. If I hadn’t left when he said “call me uncle” this is where I would have made my exit for sure. Peck stayed.

Red flag #3- Richardson asks for a hand job and explains that if Peck can make him come, she gets an A+. Peck should have failed the course, but sadly, got her grade.

Not that this all isn’t disturbing, but to add icing to the cake, Richardson’s assistants were not only all standing around watching what was happening, one had the pleasure of giving Peck a towel when she was finished. Errr, when Richardson finished.

What I find very responsible is that Peck isn’t placing all the blame on Richardson. She admits that she was not forced to do anything, but does explain that she felt coaxed and knew from the very beginning that she was not comfortable with what was going down. It makes you wonder how many models have the same kind of experience with Richardson. Where they’re not perhaps, forced into anything, but rather, feel obligated. After all, they’re in the presence of greatness with Mr. Richardson. Anyone who is anyone has or wants to be shot by him. So how far will some girls go? And is Richardson to be blamed, or is her merely a man? There’s no law stating that one cannot use their celebrity to charm others into bed with him, I’m sure unattractive actors and athletes do it everyday.

Just look at his face- if he wasn’t a celebrity, wouldn’t it just scream pedophile wanted poster?

Mr. Richardson, you may not be a criminal, but you certainly are a creepy perv. Models beware.

I see London, I see France....

By this point in the season it should be of no surprise that underwear as outerwear is in fact the hottest trend for spring/ summer 2010. All be it a bit 90’s, if worn the right way I am into it. See Vogue UK’s list of best lingerie inspired looks, or try Topshop’s take on the trend.

Totally hate it it and hope it dies quickly? Sorry to say it doesn’t look like the lingerie look will be put to rest anytime soon. In fact, it’s starting to twist, turn, and morph itself into something new. The too sheer skirt.

Pixie Geldoff

Does it work? I think it has potential on the right person worn the right way. I have that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach though that Lohan is going to try it, get too drunk, and manage to flash us her goods again. Eghhh. *Shudders*

Anyway- try it, but try it the right way. Wear underwear, as underwear, and be sure the sheer isn’t too sheer up around your lady regions. Play it safe with this bandeau layer dress at ASOS or the Ports 1961 Slip Dress at Shopbop.

Wear it again & again- The Little Black Dress

The little black dress. We all have one hanging in our closets, and if not, need to invest in one. Like a great blazer jacket or nice pair of dress pants, the little black dress is a wardrobe staple that if taken care of and worn right, will never go out of style. Granted, we don't want to be seen out too many times in the same frock- trust me, I get it. To save you hours of shopping and purchases that will probably end end up as wear & toss, we've compiled a list of ways for your to change up your little black dress.

Step 1- The dress

Currently my go to, this $36 treasure from American Apparel

Other great options...
Silence and Noise for Urban Outfitters $58

Jones New York at Macys

Step 2- Changing it up
Layer it! If you're out for a night on the town, trying layering with a jacket that is a completely different color and texture.

This Dean Denim Jacket by Forever 21 is a great way to spice up your dress.

Belt it! Adding a belt is a cheap, easy way to spice up any black pallet. Jessica Simpson goes Madonna with her belted black number below.

You can find fashionable belts at prices that won't break you at your local H&M.

Add a headpiece! No one will notice you're wearing the same dress when they catch eye of a headpiece. I have found these accessories are not for the faint of heart- it's a trend that is catching on, but I haven't been able to get many people to try. Do it. Trust me.

Try this Lacey Headband by Free People $18

The obvious! Pair your LBD with a crazy pair of shoes, tights, or some stand out jewelry. Visit your local thrift store for great finds, or try places like Forever 21 for jewelry and hosiery you can afford to wear & toss. And if you're still bored with your number, pull out the glue gun and add embellishments or a misplaced zipper, or up your hemline. Just realize once you go shorter, you can't go back. :-)

Death of an Icon- Alexander McQueen RIP *1969- 2010*

British fashion designer, genius Alexander McQueen, has been found dead in his London home of apparent suicide. It has been said that McQueen hung himself, just days after the death of his mother. He was 40 years old.

McQueen's death comes just weeks before he was to unveil his new collection at Paris Fashion Week March 9th. He is survived by his husband, film-maker George Forsyth.

Alexander McQueen was one of the youngest designers to achieve the title of "British Fashion Designer of the Year" four years between 1997-2006. Dubbed the "hooligan of English fashion," McQueen developed his reputation for controversy with his unconventional frocks and runway shows. A darling among the celebrity circuit, the designer dressed everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz, Fergie, and Michelle Obama to name a few. A statement from McQueen's office confirms "It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family.

One of my favorites. Rest in peace Mr. McQueen.
