What The...!

Kim Kardashian tweeted "Amazing shoot today for Vogue Italia! Thank you  &  for your creative genius!!!"

Genius?  Seriously, whose bright idea was this? Vogue Italia- I quit you.  And judging by the photo below from set, Kim,  you should quit the Krispy Cremes, those hips in that leather dress do not mix.  Then again, a stylist at Vogue should have known that.  Nonsense I tell you!

Rather Let Lohan Style Me....

Is this the face of someone you would buy clothes from?

Nope, me either.  But apparently everyone's 5th favorite train wreck Mischa Barton has debuted a clothing line and- wait for it, beauty products.  Ugh, yeah, please, sign me up....

Luckily for everyone except the Indian community, Mischa's line is currently only available in Dubai.

"Together with the help of my Mum Nuala, my inspirations are brought to life using elements of my personal style."

Ladies and gentlemen, Mischa's personal style....

Color Me Gagging...

Yes ladies and gentlemen, there is yet another moronic waste of space for you to spend your hard earned money on- introducing the Kate Moss coloring book!  BEYOND bored with Kate Moss and wondering why I seem to be the only one noticing that these days that without photoshop she's quite frightening to look at, I call this loud and clear LAME.  And Shopbop is even lamer for believing anyone should spend $15 on this nonsense.  Helping the undeservingly rich get richer, one stupid idea at a time.

Met Gala 2012- The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The good- the very, very good.

Starting at the top left and moving clockwise we have Camilla Belle. This isn't Camilla's first visit to The Fitting Room. She was featured here but has clearly upped the ante looking absolutely glam at last night's Met Gala in Ralph Lauren.

Next up, Ginnifer Goodwin working that pixie in a Monique Lhuillier. I feel like a man with my pixie but this photo of Ginnifer makes me wonder if I gave up on it too easily? Hmmm....

My favorite girl crush Milla Jovovich in Prada. Honestly, I don't even think it's the dress that I like so much, I am just a firm believer that Jovovich does no wrong.

And finally, Rosie Huntington- Whiteley in Burberry. Generally not a Burberry fan, but she looks amazing. (then again, when doesn't she?)

The bad- the very, very bad.

Ohhh Coco Rocha, vintage Givenchy or not, worshipped dead actress's or not, this is effing terrible and you as a model should know better. And you know what? I like the pink hair trend, I really do, but I, unlike you apparently, realize I am not 14, so I manage to stay away from it.

Dakota Fanning in an ill fitting Easter frock by Louis Vuitton. Plus I think her mom did her hair.

Then we have Christina Ricci in Thakoon. She looks ridiculous but I think the photo speaks for itself.

And last but certainly not least, Tory Burch in Tory Burch. Beyond disappointing. It's a grown up version of a terrible tent dress I saw on the sale rack at Forever 21 once.

And I leave you with this frightening photo of Mary Kate Olsen wearing The Row. Is it just me, or has she aged 60 years in the last 2? What is wrong with her face? Someone put her in a horror film, please.

Ahhhh, I Don't Get It

Kate Bosworth for Vanessa Bruno F/W 2011. I am not sure if I like it because it's weird as hell, or if I hate it. Either way, it has me wondering. The vickingesque clothing however, I am just hating.

Has It Not Been 15 Minutes Yet?

She writes? Who knew she could even read!
It appears that this time, Tyra Banks may have actually lost her mind. Apparently now an author, Tyra is set to release her work of fiction, Modelland, September 13, 2011. If you buy this book, you are as crazy as she is. Just saying.

It's Been A Bit...

First of all, let me apologize profusely for the lack in posts the last couple of weeks. Between a new job and planning a wedding that's coming up in two months, life has been a bit hectic folks. So to show you how sorry I am, I bring you....

Smurfette!

Harper's Bazaar has chosen the fictional blue lady to model their favorite fall 2011 accessories for their August issue. Posing in Lanvin and Marc Jacobs to name a few, it has never been so fashionable to be an illustration. Unless of course you're Marge Simpson in Chanel in the 2007 August issue of Harper's.

Missing That Catalog Cash

Arizona Muse for Louis Vuitton Resort 2012
I was hoping someone could explain the appeal of this girl to me? Her legs are much too short for her very long torso, the hair was cute for a minute but really, get the girl some extensions or something, and there is absolutely no life in her eyes. She looks bored out of her mind. I really think she looked happier working for Urban Outfitters.

Don't believe me? Here's the close up.

Holy Poach Artist Mr. Rowland!

Bambi Northwood Blyth

Julia Nobis

Somewhere between beer, brats, and honoring our servicemen this weekend, Paul Rowland managed to snag two of Elite's top girls, Bambi Northwood Blyth and Julia Nobis. Can anyone explain what's going on over at Ford? They got sick of doing their own scouting so they have opted for stealing other people's earners instead? I smell lawsuit.

You Are What You Make Yourself, But Your Always Welcome Here

Blurring the lines of fashion, art, and politics comes the brainchild of contemporary American painter, William Quigley, Skrapper teeshirts.

Considered "high end" clothing for those who enjoy luxury but wouldn't be caught dead in a suit, Skrapper tees, designed by photographer/designer Katie Theofilos, combine Quigley's art with grafitti style graphics. Their website boasts that they are a "fight cry for our generation of Americans." Groovy.

Although a bit pricey (the cheapest I found online was $70!) Skrapper tees are considered a piece of art, so I guess when you think of it that way, you're getting a deal.

Those of you in the midwest can check out the Skrapper sample sale in Milwaukee at The Londonberry Showroom starting Friday May 27th. Details follow in flyer below.

Should Have Stayed in School Today

I have always said Wixson can't walk, but I didn't realize it was this dramatic, no?

Linsdey Wixson, looking like she hasn't quite mastered the big girl heels, for Naomi Campbell's Fashion Relief for Japan.

Because It Went So Well the First Time

Some of the saddest news I have heard in a bit- America's Next Top Model is coming out with an All Stars season. Apparently these wanna be model's haven't quite realized it just ain't gonna happen for them, or, that actual real, successful modeling careers aren't launched on television. Name me one WINNER of the series who sustains herself solely on the modeling career she began on the show and you'll win a prize. For real.

Followed is some of the reported cast. Some, because I don't care enough to look them all up.

Cycle 1 runner up Shannon Stewart. She was at one time signed with Bleu Mgmt in Los Angeles and judging by this Dillards ad I found via google, worked at least once.

Oh look, someone invited this one to a party. Good for her making friends! Brittany Bower of cycle 4. She's got to be hitting close to 40 by now, no?

Ah christ, this one too. Hasn't anyone told Tyra that models are children, not middle aged women starving for attention? Lisa D'amato, cycle 5. (didn't she piss herself or something??)

Bree Scullark of cycle 5 used to be on Ford's New York and LA boards. Maybe they dropped her when she went all "Shaniqua" on some lady in a NYC Starbucks. Read about that, here.

And that folks, is all I have the stomach for. If you really care, find the rest of the All Star cast at Zap 2 It.

Kloss Flaunts Fast Fashion

Honestly, I am not sure how to even comment on this. Next superstar Karlie Kloss for H&M's fall 2011 lookbook. First Freja made it cool, Giselle seemed cheap enough but in an expensive way, but Karlie? Not sure that I am buying it. She looks beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I think Karlie is more believable on the pages of Vogue than in the window of your small town's mall.

40yrs Never Looked So Fun

In celebration of Mulberry's 40th anniversary, the brand best known for their luxury handbags have come out with a 480 page "fly on the wall" retrospective of the brand. Aside from the introduction by Mulberry founder Roger Saul, the book is chalk full of photos of everything from past campaigns, behind the scenes shots from parties, fashion shows, and even the brand's Somerset factory and shops. The book can be purchased at select Mulberry stores and online for a respectable $90(USD).
